Two things that would change how your quiet season looks - and how to have both in place before October.
If you've read our last two posts, you'll know the two gaps we keep finding in accommodation businesses on the Yorkshire Coast.
More than half have no publicly findable email address - so potential guests who want to ask a question before booking have nowhere to turn, and book somewhere else instead.
And most of those who do take bookings through platforms like Booking.com or Airbnb have no way to reach those guests again. No list. No way to fill a quiet February. No way to ask them back.
Neither problem is complicated to fix. But both need to be in place before the winter booking window opens - and that window opens in October.
What the fix actually looks like
The first thing is a professional email address attached to your domain. Not a Gmail address - an address that matches your website and tells guests at a glance that you're set up and responsive. We sort this as part of the setup, along with making sure it routes correctly and doesn't end up in a folder nobody checks.
The second thing is a simple, legal way to collect guest email addresses and actually use them. That means an email marketing account set up in your name, a sign-up prompt guests see at the right moment, and a template for your first quiet-season campaign - ready to send to whoever's on your list by November.
Both of those things together is what the autumn bundle covers.
What's included
Professional email address setup and configuration
Email marketing account set up and branded to your business
Email capture - the sign-up prompt, where to put it and how to make it work
A quiet-season campaign template, written and ready to send
A walkthrough so you know how to use it yourself going forward
The idea is that you finish with something working, not just something installed.

The timing
October is when guests start making decisions about winter weekends and early spring breaks. An email to past guests in late October or early November - even a short one - lands at exactly the right moment.
Setting this up in September means you have a list building through October and something to send by November. Setting it up in December means you've missed the window entirely.
The autumn bundle is £495 until October.
That's the full setup - email address, email marketing account, capture, template and walkthrough.
If you already have the basics in place and want to add a Christmas campaign on top, that's available as an add-on. We'll be sharing more info on our Christmas accommodation email campaign shortly.
